I am honored and feel very privileged to be the Chairman of Amara Vidya Niketan High School.
I am always excited and look forward to working with our students, staff and parents to make Amara Vidya Niketan the best school it can be.
Education is the basis of all progress. It is for this very reason that we forayed into education, Since 05 years. Our experience has taught us that progress is possible only, if men and women are equally well-educated.
The entire purpose of education is not to restrict itself to imparting bookish knowledge only but inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity and reliability in a student.

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE ON COVID-19 LOCKDOWN
Dear Parents, and AVNs,
In these difficult and anxious times I would like to reach out to you through these few lines of mine.
COVID-19 with its sudden disruption has changed our routines and lifestyles. Each one of us and the entire world is affected by the corona virus Pandemic. This pandemic has accelerated existential issues like acute individual loneliness in the wake of lockdowns and quarantine or isolation, disturbances of social life, contaminating the interpersonal space with distrust of each other; in short our entire way of life is adversely affected by the scare of COVID- 19 and has created new psychological situation for people. It has shaken the economy of the country enormously and its consequences are experienced by our families, communities and our entire way of life. Above all the anxiety aggravated by fear of death.
We understand the challenges faced by the students, Parents and the teachers to cater to the academic needs during closure of school and adapting to virtual learning. However the importance of education remains consistent. We need to be prepared to take life ahead with all our normal activities according to the new normal. Though disturbed, we don’t want to miss the academic year for our students. We will keep you informed about the school procedures regarding online classes, activities, assignments and examinations through official messages from the Edumerge well in advance. Our Principal, dedicated staff both teaching and non teaching, have been showing their care and concern for the students preparing notes and engaging classes for the benefit of students. I appreciate their concern for the students and commitment to academics.. All these will also lead to imbibing of digital skills, one of the most important literacy skills of the 21st century.
Dear Parents, help your child to remember the ways that He/She has successfully handled hardships in the past and help them understand that these experiences strengthen their character preparing them for future challenges. An optimistic and positive outlook enables your child to see good things in life and keep going even in the hardest times. Appreciate and acknowledge their accomplishments. For I believe sprouted in the fire, does not wither away in the Sun! This is not the first pandemic outbreak in human history; but there is a slight difference to it. Today several million are able to work from home. Thanks to the internet, the world wide web(www) as an expression of indestructible human spirit.
I am sure all of us have been practicing social distancing, physical distancing and coming together on social media for mutual morale boosting conversations and sharing.
Dear students, as much as you may be missing school and your peer group, we are missing you coming to the school. The whole campus remains lifeless without your active presence. These are times when we have to stand together as one family belonging to the entire world. We pray for a quick control of the COVID 19 Pandemic, for a healing of those affected, their families and health care personals. Remember humanity has seen worse, and every time we have bounced back. We will, again. Being hopeful is the key.

Tough Times Don’t Last but Tough people Do
This was one of those years which was a roller coaster ride. Every year brings in its own share of ups and downs and we learn from our mistakes and try not to repeat the same.
There are a lot of positives. Today, Amara Vidya Niketan is synonymous with quality education and excellent services. We have managed to create a brand name which stands for exceptional care and individual attention on each child.
Our students stand testimonial to our efforts and claims. Our experienced and skilled faculties are our biggest strength. We have achieved quite a few land marks in this year so far and we have set new targets and goals for the upcoming year.
These are the exciting times. We have envisaged a great future for this institution which will be possible only with your contribution, zeal, commitment, dedication which has been with us all these years. I am very positive and hopeful that you shall stand behind me in all my future endeavors’.
Thanks to each one of you, whatever your responsibility; however great or small, we share a love for this institution.
Along with all the new hopes and promises that the New Year would bring Hope it also brings us a lot more opportunities to work together. Wish You and your Family

I take immense pride insaying Our school Amara Vidya Niketan represents a cross section of the society and is a rich blanket of multi cultural diversity. Children come to us from varied cultural, social, racial and religious backgrounds. Within school they learn to live together as one big family, regardless of their roots and create newer and stronger bonds with each other that will last them a life time.
Values – A Positive Approach
The minds of children, contrary to our beliefs, are open. Friendships are formed on face values without any expectations. It becomes the responsibility of the school to ensure that all children put under its care are taught the importance of inculcating right ethics. These are urgent in order to develop as an individual, both mentally and emotionally. With us, the students learn to be upright and honest, they understand respect, they are taught to differentiate right from wrong and have the courage to stand up for what is correct.
Dream and Reach For the Stars
A word of advice to our students – the school takes on the responsibility of nurturing children and helps open their minds to the wonders of life. All of you are special and we want you to take pride in achievement. Each job is a self portrait of the person who does it, autograph your work with excellence.
You are to the manor born, so to speak, for you lack for nothing. Think of others who are not as fortunate as you. Learn to excel, value people and individual judgment, be gentle, develop firm opinions, purge your heart of grudges, and work for a better tomorrow. Take pride in what you have, in your school, your city, your nation. Grow up to be responsible citizens. Success cannot be measured by material achievement alone, your contribution to the world and society matters more than what you get out of it.
At the end I would like to thank all the parents who have reposed faith in our institution and the ideals it stands for. Let me assure you that your loved ones are in safe hands. Our staff understands the ethos of the school and help in guiding and encouraging the children and I am sure that the children will make both you and us proud.
Chairman Message on New Year 2020
The beginning of the year always holds such excitement and promise, and for us it is an annual rite of passage where we open our doors and share with you our hopes and dreams for the coming year. I speak for all AVN staff when I say, what a blessing and a privilege it is to serve the AVN community, where anything is possible, and the sky’s the limit – especially if you’re a Hawk!
I’m excited tonight to share with you our goals and aspirations for the new year that tie to our vision.
AVN is a place where we build relationships and create a sense of belonging. We feel it’s important for us to carve out this space for students to know others and be known, and to have a venue where we can focus on those non-academic skills and competencies we wish to develop.
we will focus on our new core skill,
“OWNERSHIP“. What does it mean to set goals and take charge of our learning and personal growth? Not only will students be reflecting on this and engaging in goal setting; we also will be involving families as partners in this work. Developing ownership, or what some might call self-direction, is not just the work of the school. It requires consistent planning at home as well. We hope that one day, any one of us can say the tagline, “Own it,” and our students or children will know that this means they need to take charge and create their own path.
Most importantly our students have enjoyed another fabulous year. They have excelled in so many fields it is impossible to list them all. I have attended many celebration events and have listened in awe as their achievements have been described. These achievements have been in their academic studies, sport, music, the arts to name just a few and we are justly proud of them.
Over the day will we be working with colleagues to put into place a smooth opening to the new academic year and setting the priorities to build upon the successes of the school so that we can improve still further. We should always seek to do better; to challenge ourselves and our students to set the highest standards and achieve our ambitious goals.
I take pride to wish you all the very best for the New Year and look forward welcoming you all refreshed, with much zeal into this NewYear 2020.
